THE MODEL OF LITERACY EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR ERADICATION OF ILLITERACY IN BANTEN PROVINCE

Community empowerment through literacy education programs is an attempt to enable the communities to be able to empower themselves. In the framework of the empowerment, literacy programs should highlight the technique of education and the value of socio-economic. To use this technique, three models are used, i.e. elementary literacy program, functional literacy program, and equity literacy program. Literacy education programs for the eradication of illiteracy require management readyness that adheres to the community development principle, professional performance, and efficient and effective strategy program. The goal of the performance is the successful achievement of program objectives taken by the society, especially the illiterate citizens.
