IDENTIFICATION OF THE PROBLEM AND POTENTIAL IN THE DEVELOPMENT MODEL STUDY TOUR IN YOGYAKARTA GEMBIRALOKA ZOO

Educational of programs as off-campus laboratory designed to engage zoo Gembiraloka, professors, students and alumni of School Education Out of School FIP UNY as a facilitator of learning. Students and alumni as facilitators of learning are expected to gain useful experience as part of the increased ability of graduates PLS. This study aims to discover the potential and problems in developing the model study tour at the zoo Gembiraloka Yogyakarta.
The development model of educational travel is done through research and development. At this early stage unearthed information about the potential and problems in developing the model of learning as travel off-campus laboratory. The research was conducted in the development of the zoo Gembiraloka Yogyakarta. In this study, the data will be collected using discution group forum, interview, documentation and observation. The collected data will be analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis.
This early stage research found as follows: 1) There is still a lack of human resources capable of managing the zoo Gembiroloka as travel to learn, 2) the unavailability of the garden design study animal models Gembiroloka travel. 3) the lack of material class outing on the implementation of learning outside the school in Happy Loka Zoo. 4) Assistance carried out by Happy Loka Zoo is still not optimal, 5) is still a lack of facilities and infrastructure owned Excited Loka Zoo to support a class outing. The potential of gembiroloka. 1) Facilities and Infrastructure Happy Loka Zoo, 2) Collection complete star for learning, 3) a lot of visitors from different socio-economic conditions and various startifikasi and educational qualifications, 4) have the environmental conditions and natural cool, 5) a source of considerable cost , 6) has a natural laboratory (flora and fauna) is complete, 7) have networks (networking) with government agencies, universities and other community members who care about education pan. Based on identification of the potential problem and then stacking the model design study tour at the zoo Gembiroloka as a laboratory outside the school.
