Improving Student Motivation Optimizing the teacher's role as motivator

The motivation of learning has an important role in the achievement and performance of student learning. The facts on the ground shows that in general has been a decline of student motivation to learn. Given the importance of the role of motivation in the learning process, decreased motivation of student learning need to be immediately dealt with in order to get the improvement of the quality of the process and the results of student learning.
Therefore we should know how that can be done to improve the motivation of student learning.
The fact that the content of the curriculum and the interaction between the teachers and students contribute to the motivation of students to learn. The motivation of student learning is connected with the desire of students to participate in the learning process. In research done by Khamis researchers found that the interaction between teachers and interest of students in the subject matter and the level of difficulty of the task influence the motivation of student learning.
There’s also other factor that influenced student motivation such as : the support of the elders, interaction students - teachers, the influence of peers, learning environment, students condition itself, the interest of the students in the material content, perceptions of students regarding the usefulness of the material and the level of difficulty of the task given by the teacher. In the process of learning the teacher has a direct effect on the motivation of student learning. Almost any activities that teachers do in the classroom provide the influence of the positive or negative impact on the motivation of student learning. How teachers create a learning environment that supports the needs of learning and growing interest in students to learn to give positive effects against the motivation of student learning.
